  • What is the general admission fee?
    General admission and parking are free. Tickets are sold per person, per attraction.
  • Do you sell gift certificates?
    Our train trip tickets and amusement ride tickets never expire and make great gifts! Purchase them on-site or call our gift shop at 707.938.7156 during business hours and we'll ship them to you ($6 shipping and handling fee).
  • What is the policy on refunds or exchanges for tickets?
    Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds or exchanges on tickets. However, tickets never expire so you can save them and come back another time to enjoy all the fun at Sonoma TrainTown.
  • Can I bring my own food and drinks into the park?
    No, unfortunately we do not allow outside food in our park. But, we do offer a variety of food options for sale. Our Snack Stand offers popcorn, cotton candy, hot dogs, and soft drinks, etc. Please see a sample menu under the "Park Info" page on our website. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
  • What happens if it rains on the day I plan to visit?
    We closely monitor the forecast and prioritize the safety of our visitors. In case of rain, we are forced to close the park. Our general line 707.938.3912 is updated by 9am the morning of the closure. We also share weather closure information on our social media sites. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and hope to see you on a sunny day.
  • Can I bring my pet to Sonoma Traintown Railroad?
    We love our furry friends too, but for the safety and comfort of all our guests, we only allow service dogs in the park. We kindly ask that you leave your pets at home or make arrangements for them elsewhere during your visit. Thank you for your understanding.
  • Do you have diaper changing tables?
    Yes, we have two diaper changing stations, located in our Gift Shop bathrooms.
  • How do we get to the miniature town and petting zoo?
    The train makes a stop at our miniature town and petting zoo, giving you the opportunity to get out of the train and explore for a few minutes. A handful of petting zoo food costing only one quarter! You can enjoy the animals and miniature town before boarding the same train to return to the main station. For your safety, please keep your hands and legs inside the train car and remain seated for the entire duration of the trip.
  • Does Sonoma Traintown Railroad take reservations?
    No, Sonoma Traintown does not book reservations. Our business operates on a first-come, first-serve basis, allowing all visitors to enjoy our attractions without the need for an advanced booking. We believe in promoting a friendly and relaxed atmosphere that allows all guests to experience our park at their own pace, without feeling rushed or restricted by reservation schedules.
  • Is the train at Sonoma Traintown Railroad handicap accessible?
    Yes, the train is handicap accessible. To ensure a smooth and safe boarding process, we ask that you alert one of our team-members in advance of your train trip. The train engineer will be notified, and they will be available to assist you or your family member in boarding the train. We are here to help ensure a memorable and enjoyable experience for all of our guests.
  • Do you have an ATM machine?
    No, we do not have an ATM machine but do accept all major credit cards and digital wallet payments. You may need quarters to enjoy some electronic kiddie rides, air hockey, and food for the petting zoo. We are happy to exchange paper money for coins, but are unable to give cash-back on credit card transactions.
